Urban Soils & Green Infrastructure Tour

Join us for the real-life, out-of-classroom experience: get below the inch and deep into soils with a tour of a soil pit and NYC’s legacy green space at Green-Wood cemetery: where one can explore the wildlife and botanical oasis in the city and the research on managing and sustaining urban grasslands!

You’re invited to a community garden, to experience the sense of home built by collaboration of people and nature, and to explore the thriving ecosystem inside the city.

Get into the skyline and breathe easy on a NYC rooftop that exhibits over 30 unique rooftop growing systems at NYC DPR’s 5-Borough Complex on Randall’s Island. 5-Borough boasts the highest concentration of different green roofs in the world!

Explore the soils and roots of restoration and regeneration efforts on NYC’s first airfield, built on fill, now our national park, at Floyd Bennett Field.

Ticket are $15 and go on sale September 6th.
